"I came from an extremely humble living, and I promised myself I would be somebody someday that could help people like me," she recalls. Located in Frost Park, the academy features eight sand courts that cater to volleyball, beach volleyball, tennis, soccer, flag football, and pickleball. Mayor Joyce L. Davis highlighted the academy as a unique addition to the city, a project aiming to foster community bonds through sports.
